Mexican Border to SD Hotel

So we did as planned.  We drove to the border and rode our bikes back to our hotel.
It was pretty crazy.  We parked at the Jack in the Box to unload our bikes.  It was crowded and you didn't want to take your eyes off your bike.  You can see the border behind us in this picture.
The route was not pretty for sure.  Lots of traffic and bad roads.  and then riding past the airport was quite dangerous in my opinion but we made it.  The day was sunny and breezy.  Actually headwinds most of the way.  Good training for whats coming up on the ride.

A highlight of the route was stopping by to see the Midway.  Here is  the statue of the iconic WWII picture when the war ended.  Pretty cool.
