Hemet to San Bernardino - Day 4

Mileage:  52
ElevationGain"  3,850

Today was a pretyy nondescript day.  We had 2 major climbs that started about 5 miles from the start. At least we had time to warm up:)  I took a picture of the first hill which was about 6.6 miles long.  It was a 6, 7, 8 % percent grade so wasnt a big deal.  Very manageable.

The second climb was tough.  I didn't take a picture of that.  It started out the same and then went from10-12-14% grade for about 2 miles.  It really got your attention.  It was a steep and fun descent though and made up for all the agony.

We didn't think we would find anything intresting after that as we were traveling through city streets. But then we turned down this road and check out what we saw.  It was so fun and made our day.

The rest of the ride continued through city streets until we got to our motel.  You might know it was at the top of a hill with a 14% grade.  Go figure....
Tomorrow we are on our way to Palmdale.   2 days before we get a rest day.

  4. I know this area, it's not easy to drive, so I can't imagine riding it. Loving the updates, will be checking in again soon.
