Another picture from the top of Siskiyou Summit.
Another great day. We spent 20 miles on bike trails from Ashland to Medford. Its quite pretty and very flat. Just what we needed after our 80 mile day yesterday and tomorrows 60 miler to Crater Lake. There were so many twists and turns on this trail that we asked Mike, who is from Grants Pass and knows the area very well, to lead the ride for us. So 6 of us followed Mike. At one point we passed a little league game and decided to sit down and watch a couple of batters get to the plate. Those kids are in the 12-1 age range and they were good. A lady took our picture watching the game
but it was done on my iphone and I can't transfer over. No picture so you'll have to go on facebook if
you want to see the pic. Then we stopped at a diner and had a fun time with Phyllis the waitress.
Once again the picture is on my iphone. Sorry.
We did pass more ranches and a large sheep farm where the sheep at just been sheared.
Today we rode over the Rogue River. We're in a small town called Shady Cove which is next to the river. There are a few places in town that cater to rafting the river along with fishing if you prefer that.
Rogue River at Shady Cove, OR
Thats it for today. More tomorrow from Crater Lake.
